NOMAD Modern Leather Case is a protective leather case designed for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro smartphones. The version made from black Horween leather combines a classic look with protection against everyday wear. Integrated magnets allow the use of MagSafe and Qi2 accessories, while raised edges, a reinforced construction and a Camera Control button cover help protect the device during everyday use.
Compatibility with iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro
The case has been designed specifically for the shape and layout of the housing components of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro models. Precise cut-outs provide access to the camera, USB-C port and other phone functions without having to remove the case. The design also accommodates the Camera Control button on the side, keeping camera operation accessible once the case is fitted.
Horween leather
The outer layer is made from Horween leather sourced from the United States. The material is vegetable-tanned and retains natural leather characteristics, such as variations in texture and subtle imperfections. As a result, each case may have a slightly different appearance. During use, the leather develops a distinctive patina, while minor marks and scratches may gradually smooth out through contact with the hand.
Impact protection
Nomad has used a construction that provides protection against drops from heights of up to 8 feet. An internal polycarbonate frame reinforces the case, while a flexible, grippy TPU bumper helps absorb some of the impact energy. Raised edges separate the screen and camera module from flat surfaces, reducing the risk of these elements coming into direct contact with the ground.
Multi-layered construction
The case consists of several complementary elements. The outer Horween leather provides its appearance and distinctive feel in the hand, the polycarbonate frame stabilises the construction, and the protective microfibre lining helps limit contact between the phone and the hard surface of the case. The flexible TPU bumper improves grip and reinforces the edges of the case.
Camera Control button
The case features a glass Camera Control button. It has been designed to retain access to camera functions and enable use of the control element without removing the protection from the phone. The button is integrated into the case construction and matched to the side button found on compatible iPhone models.
Anodised aluminium buttons
The side buttons of the case are made from anodised aluminium. Their design allows convenient use of the volume buttons and the phone's side button while protecting them from direct contact with the surroundings. The metal finish complements the leather surface and emphasises the accessory's classic character.
MagSafe and Qi2
Nickel-plated neodymium magnets are placed in the back of the case. They provide compatibility with MagSafe accessories and Qi2 wireless charging. Thanks to the magnetic arrangement, compatible chargers, mounts and other accessories can be used without removing the case. An alignment magnet is also included to support the correct positioning of accessories requiring a specific orientation.
Integrated lanyard attachment
The construction includes a recessed attachment point for a lanyard or wrist strap. It is positioned so that it does not unnecessarily increase the case's overall profile. This solution allows use with a compatible Nomad attachment, as well as other lanyards using a suitable mounting element. The attachment works with the arrangement located next to the phone's USB-C port.
Finish and everyday use
The black colour gives the case a versatile appearance that suits different phone colour options. Naturally finished leather may initially react to contact with objects and the appearance of signs of use. This is a characteristic of the material, which changes its appearance over time and develops an individual character. The case is suitable for those looking for phone protection made from a traditional material rather than standard plastic.
Practical screen and camera protection
The raised edges of the case are designed to keep the screen and cameras away from the surface on which the phone is placed. The edge height above the screen is 0.85 mm at the bottom and 1.0 mm along the sides and top of the phone. A large, precise cut-out for the camera module provides access to the lenses, flash and other elements of the rear module.
